I can't tell how many times I did happy dance about this place, the service and the food here. I'm super picky eater, so, this place was sooo goooood for the price. I know food is super subjective thing, but the pork (Mangalica) was the best I ever had. Tender with a crunch and sauce. Also it was my boyfriends birthday and they made it super special. Thank you! Thank you for the amazing food, thank you for the super service and your kindness. If I ever go to Budapest, this is my top 1 place to go.
What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was. I have often walked by while staying in Budapest, and finally decided to try it out. From the moment I made the reservation for two, through the warm welcome, the service, and departure, the experience was fantastic. We tried the Spring Green Soup, the Duck Breast, Potatoes with Goat Cheese, Pomegranate Sauce, and the Chicken Breast Stuffed With Wild Garlic and Mozzarella, Mashed Potatoes and Tomato. Everything was fresh and tasty. My only issue is that Hungarian cooking uses a 'bit too much salt. This is a general issue in Hungary, and should not deter you trying out this fantastic restaurant with the lovely atmosphere, and great selection of food!
Delicious ! Located around the corner from our hotel, it was recommended by a local as our first dinner in Budapest. This restaurant definitely hit the mark on all fronts. The pics only tell half the story of how good the food/service were! Definitely a must try :)
We had an awesome dinner here on our second day in the city. • Service: Truly standout. The staff was very polite, helpful, and genuinely service-oriented. • Food: High-quality dishes with a solid selection of vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. • Atmosphere: The vibe is nice, though it felt a little "plain" in some areas. A bit of mood lighting (like candles on the tables) and more curated music choices would take the ambiance to the next level. • Price: While the quality of the food and service is undeniable, the prices are definitely on the higher side compared to local averages. Overall: A very nice restaurant and a must-visit experience when you’re in Budapest!
MANY OPTIONS - FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, UNIQUE FLAVORS THAT PAIRED PERFECTLY I had an absolutely delicious meal here! I ordered the Chicken Paprika Stew served with parsley dumplings and a cucumber salad with sour cream (5490 HUF, ~$17USD + 5% service) The flavor combination was excellent; the sauce was perfectly balanced and not overpowering, allowing the taste of the chicken to shine through. The chicken itself (three drumsticks) was incredibly tender and literally falling off the bone. The dumplings had a wonderful pasta-like consistency, and the cucumber salad was refreshing and sweet. It was a perfect pairing and simply delicious. The restaurant itself is lovely, intimate yet bright. It’s a great spot for a couple or a small group of four, and thankfully it’s not too noisy, so you can actually hold a good conversation. As for the service, it was just "OK." It was a fairly busy Thursday night, the food more than made up for it. I suspect my experience was just a minor anomaly on a hectic evening. Overall, come for the food—it is truly fantastic!
