Everything was perfect, the portions were generous, and the food was delicious. The staff were welcoming and professional. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the unexpected 13.5% service charge. On top of that, guests still have the option to leave an additional tip.
The food was nice and the portion was big. The waiter was so friendly and recommended us to authentic Hungarian food. Definitely recommend it!
The place is nearby the parliament and the price is quite good considering the location and air con. The menu is designed to give customers a hint what dishes are Hungarian, which is very helpful for me. We ordered beef stew and chicken praprika. The portion is absolutely value for money worth, suitable for large eaters. The dumplings are unexpected, so watch out if you expect something like an Asian dumpling, it is not that. The chicken tastes a bit bland for me, mainly because I am used to stronger flavour.
Small restaurant with great food and service. We had the deer stew with lecsó potatoes, and the tenderloin with lecsó and sausage. Generous portions, great flavours, rich but yet balanced. And in a middle of a heatwave, the air conditioning was a bless!
We were recommended this place by our NH Hotel and a great recommendation for local food. The service was very quick and they spoke great English which helped. For starters we shared a goulash soup. It was quite big so a share was perfect for this. Great flavours and plenty of meat. For mains we had Hungarian beef steak with goose liver and Hungarian mandalica steak (pork) - both were cooked really well, we liked the letcho Potatoes. Very tasty. Nice beer and local wine to pair with it. We would love to come back and try more from the menu. We were served by Renata who was excellent and gave some great recommendations. All the staff were friendly. Special mention to the chefs who cooked the food really well.
