My daughter and I came here for our first dinner in Budapest, right after we arrived, and it was such a great choice. The food wasn’t just delicious, it was genuinely refined. The pasta was handmade, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was excellent, and the dessert was amazing. Everything was very clean, and the service was also quick. Highly recommend!
We visited this Italian restaurant in Budapest and the food was so, so, so delicious absolutely amazing! The service was also excellent, especially from Mr. RUDE (his nickname only, because it definitely does not match his personality 😊). He was extremely kind, professional, attentive, and provided absolutely perfect service. A big thank you to him! The rest of the staff were also very good and professional in their service. The only thing that made me feel a little uncomfortable was that the staff seemed to be paying a lot of attention to every women passing by outside, smiling and commenting among themselves. It wasn't anything serious, but it created a slightly awkward feeling during our visit. Thankfully, our waiter Mr. RUDE remained incredibly respectful and pleasant throughout the whole experience. Overall, great food and excellent service!
It was late and we wanted a quick yummy meal. Our Airbnb host had recommended this place and so we tucked into this cozy restaurant to eat some pizza. We ordered a salad and some roasted veggies and 2 pizzas to share amongst four of us. We got the mushroom pizza and the spicy salami pizza. They were both really yummy. We got some wine to go with the dinner and the evening ended beautifully. Our waiter was very charming. Overall a great experience.
Recommended by The Four Seasons, beautiful dining room with several spaces, white linen tablecloths and napkins, and in house sommelier. Traditional Napoli menu with large pizza selection, homemade pasta and if you can’t resist, house made desserts. Decent wine list with several good Hungarian reds. Pizza was brick oven and good but not crispy and order again. Pasta bolognese was excellent. Sea bass very small portion and asparagus was soggy in a butter sauce. Service very slow waiting for the main courses. Very nice outdoor seating, make reservations in advance to secure. Overall, very good Italian, nice dining room and just a five minute walk from the Four Seasons. Stick with pasta and pizza.
We dined here as a group of five and had a mixed but overall pleasant experience. When it came to the food, opinions at the table varied. Some of the entrées were quite good in terms of flavor and presentation, while others fell short. In particular, the arugula pasta was undercooked and lacked the depth of flavor you’d expect from a restaurant with this reputation. Overall, the main courses were average—decent, but not particularly memorable. On a much more positive note, the desserts were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. They were well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care, leaving a strong final impression. The service throughout the evening was friendly, attentive, and professional. Staff were accommodating to our group and made sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive. In summary, while the food itself was somewhat inconsistent, the great desserts and strong service make it a worthwhile spot—just with tempered expectations when it comes to the main courses.
