Very good tapas. Excellent service, great staff. Paolo and Early went above and beyond to make our dining experience pleasant and enjoyable. Early is a gem and an asset to your establishment.
We were seat right when we arrived. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered the chicken roll, gambas pil pil and squid. All the food was delicious, well-balanced and well prepared. The homemade ice cream was one of the best we had till date! During our visit, the staff was attentive and helpful.
Lovely place for lunch today (recommended by family before we arrived) with a selection of hot and cold tapas and a lovely cold beer on a very hot day. They have air con! My favourites were the iberico ham, the mini langos and the chiperones. Pistachio ice cream to finish the meal was top notch too. We really liked the background guitar playing too, thank you. Service was really friendly and nice and we loved the spicy pineapple vodka we received after we'd paid!
Located a block from the basilica, Tapassio offers an upbeat menu that at first glance, you wonder what you are in for. Although they bill themselves as a Mediterranean restaurant, there are few traditional dishes like hummus, pita or grilled chicken on the menu. All plates are to be shared and the food was shockingly good. Favs included the very fresh ahi tuna, so good chicken crepe with the perfect sauce to use their hot and crispy sourdough bread, prawns in tomato sauce a must. No salads on the menu but the kitchen came through and made us an awesome mixed salad with pomegranate seeds. Mini langos were good and now we can say we tried them. Pass on the gnocchi and fried potatoes. Server recommended pistachio gelato for dessert, very good. Large and very nice dining room with a bar on the middle (no bar seating). Decent wine list and prices very reasonable for the quality of food prepared. Overall, one of our fav Budapest restaurants and worthy of booking a reservation.
I recently visited Tapasio in Budapest, and while the atmosphere and service were impressive, the decor is stylish and the staff were friendly and attentive, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. The dishes were just okay, lacking the rich flavors you’d hope for in a Spanish restaurant. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I wouldn’t highly recommend it if you’re looking for authentic or standout Spanish cuisine.
