It feels like a local authentic Hungarian restaurant The food was amazing, big portions and lots of flavour. It’s local cuisine, which was exactly what I was looking for. I’ll def come back for the food. The service was not good at all… first of all they asked if we had reservations (we were a group of 3 and a baby). We didn’t but we decided to wait bc we wanted to eat there. The waitress told us to wait and he’ll check but he didn’t come back at all. After asking multiple times he said that he only had 2 tables of 2, so we told him that we could split, and he said that he’ll check and that he’ll come back, which didn’t happen. Another waitress asked us what we were waiting for, we explained the situation and he asked us to sit, so we did. Tables of 4 were empty at this point, and not reserved, but they weren’t offered to us. When the menus were handed the waitress asked us to order quickly because they were going to close. It was 3-3:30, and according to google, they close at 5 pm…. Other people came in and they were being welcomed friendly and with a smile, not in a rush or with a warning because they were going to “close” soon. After that, everything about the service was ok. We asked them if we could move to a 4 ppl table, which they agreed.
I really wanted to experience authentic Hungarian cuisine, and this place came up as one of the highest-rated restaurants. It’s not a fancy spot, just a simple, regular restaurant, but the food is absolutely amazing. The food was incredible, the customer service was superb, and the waiter was really nice. We even had a little chat with him, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re a tourist looking to experience local Hungarian cuisine at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this place.
A charming restaurant that focuses on more traditional Hungarian cuisine. We decided to go for a type of goulash and the duck and both dishes were excellent. The portions were generous and very satisfying, while the food itself was clearly well prepared and full of flavor. The service was also great, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
No words needed, simply the best restaurant! Highly recommended for anyone who would like to try any Hungarian food or just want to be sure to have an amazing food! This place offers everything what you are looking for! ;) Prices are friendly in comparison with other restaurants. Best choice, always satisfied! Take time to visit this place! This was by far my favorite restaurant in Budapest, they offer a wide variety of Hungarian dishes and they are delicious. I went for dinner to try the Gulas and a pork Knuckle, and I had to come back the next day to try the traditional beef stew. Honesty the food is amazing and this place should be a stop in your visit to Budapest.
