Very generous portion of a seafood mix, spice & garlic, with the necessary bibs & gloves. And vegan option for our vegan
Food: 1. Grilled Seafood platter: Very disappointing, salty sauce. Looks nothing like the picture in the menu. Although the waitress mentioned it wouldn't be the same, i was shocked to see what arrived on the plate for 7000 HUF. The main reason i ordered was for the baby octopus, which wasn't on the plate. You can see what i got in the picture. You might as well order the boil combo for 2+ people because it seems like the one portion plate doesn't include that. Talk about discrimination on single customers..... 2: Seafood fried rice: Actually good except the fact that the seasoning wasn't stirred properly. I had a mouthful of salty rice with just salt/cube seasoning and it was not pleasant. Execution was lacking but it is a dish i would recommend if done properly. Must mention: Restroom cleanliness, 0.5 out of 5 stars. I couldn't use it. Its not properly maintained for a restaurant that uses hands to eat and some customers would like to wash their hands even if gloves were used. It was not comfortable. Overall decent. I may or may not return to try the seafood combo but with a group.
Updated review. We came back to this Vietnamese restaurant, as we previously loved their 500Ft (1.3€) Seafood Pad Thai and Beef Pho promotion. This time, we came to try their seafood boil, ordering Oh Crab Combo for three (15.000Ft / 40€) and paying extra to sample all three sauces. At first glance, the dish looked impressive, visually appealing and very appetizing but the reality was disappointing. The portion is large but it’s mostly filled with cheap fillers like potatoes, corn and sausages. A single large crab is placed on top, along with a few shrimp (exactly 5), baby octopuses and mussels (some of them empty), creating the illusion of a seafood heavy dish. In reality, it barely contains any seafood. The seasoning itself is decent with a nice Cajun style flavor. Spicy, buttery and garlicky. The Cajun dipping sauce was enjoyable but the other two sauces, especially the garlic one, were overpowering. The service didn’t help the experience either. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the staff seemed disengaged and inattentive. We didn’t feel welcomed and had to wait nearly 30 minutes for our food. In the end, we left unsatisfied and still hungry after an expensive meal. This place is definitely overhyped on TikTok. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Save your money, this isn’t worth it.🦀🦐 … An incredible Vietnamese spot in the heart of Budapest right on Váci Street, serving up authentic flavors at unbelievable prices. Right now their Seafood Pad Thai and Beef Pho are only 500Ft (1.3€) each. And yes, it’s real! We were skeptical at first as it’s too good to be true but both dishes were freshly made, flavorful and served in surprisingly generous portions especially the Beef Pho. I personally recommend Seafood Pad Thai. Bold, slightly spicy and full of flavor (though a few more shrimps wouldn’t hurt but for 500Ft who’s complaining?). It’s the best value for money. Perfect for a quick, satisfying lunch. Just note that the promotion runs 10am–1pm and 3pm–5pm. Also the staff only speaks English. We went as a group of seven and everyone agreed this place is absolutely worth the hype. We will be coming back regularly for sure. These days for 500Ft you don’t even get a Mcdonald’s cheeseburger. Don’t miss out on this gem, go before it’s too late.🍜🍤
The seafood here is delicious, and this is the first seafood restaurant in Budapest to offer it. Come and enjoy, it's well worth it.
Tasty, authentic seafood. Loved the clams, oysters and shrimps. We also had a chicken fried rice for the kids, it was so good. Portions are good, price feels fair, especially considering the location. Staff was polite and friendly.
