After friends recommended this restaurant to us. We went here on a Saturday and received a warm welcome. Even though we we came without a reservation , the staff was very friendly and organized a great table for us. We managed to get a dish that was a weekly special of the previous week. Food and drinks were delicious and we had a wonderful evening. Definitely recommend this place.. but to be sure, it’s best to put in a reservation.
We were on our way to the night boat your to see the lights and was looking for a place to eat. Jojo( hope I got the name correct )welcomed us in and what a fun experience. We had traditional Hungarian food, which he coaxed me into ordering and it was Delicious. The portions were huge. If you are in Budapest definitely take a trip to feast here
Located right next to the Budapest Marriott Hotel, this restaurant provides traditional Hungarian dishes served by welcoming and helpful staff. The portion sizes are generous and the food very tasty so make sure you’ve clocked a few steps around the city before visiting! I’ll be sure to recommend this place to visiting colleagues and tourists alike as we were very well treated. At the time we visited, a violinist was also providing a live performance which created a really relaxed atmosphere. Back again soon hopefully!
Really liked this restaurant, came in solo and got given a table, staff were so attentive, food recommends all were excellent. The raspberry mint lemonade and chicken paprika were delicious and very filling, also gave me a box to take it back to the hostel with no qualms, would recommend.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted not just with warmth, but with reverence for tradition and a passion for perfection. Every dish is a masterclass in flavor and authenticity. The Hungarian wine that Andrea recommended, paired well with everything. From the Famous Hungarian Langos selection, to the Porcini Mushroom and Chicken Paprikash Cream soup, Hungarian Cucumber Salad and our FINAL entrees: Mr. Jaki’s favorite and the King Prawn Dance which is Andrea’s favorite. The staff are intuitive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. They don’t just serve—they guide, educate, and elevate the experience. Timing is impeccable, recommendations are thoughtful, and every interaction feels personal. It’s the kind of service that makes you wonder why the Michelin Guide hasn’t come knocking yet. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of Hungarian heritage, hospitality, and haute cuisine with live Hungarian Music. If Michelin stars were awarded for soul, this place would shine brighter than most. As a small note for future diners, the meals are hearty, so it's best to arrive with an appetite to fully enjoy your meal and to try the dessert selections, which we, unfortunately, were unable to try.
