Mr. Zsolt recommendations to a great lunch with amazing food choice paired with amazing wine was spot on. Very helpful staff with big smiles made the experience unforgettable. Amazing view of the river and Buda Palace. Absolutely would recommend to stop by.
Spoon The Boat exceeded our wildest expectations. Its understated website simply does not do justice to the incredible experience that awaits. Dining on the Danube while surrounded by the illuminated skyline of Budapest was truly magical. The service was outstanding. We were looked after by Nina, who did a wonderful job and made us feel genuinely welcome. Special recognition also goes to a young gentleman who seemed to oversee the entire deck effortlessly. He may have forgotten to smile from time to time, but his awareness and attention to detail were exceptional. It was refreshing to witness service delivered at such a high level. The prices were remarkable considering the quality delivered, offering tremendous value for money. Combined with the breathtaking views, the entire evening felt very special. The reservation process was equally impressive. Everything worked flawlessly: no waiting, no confusion, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Efficient, professional, and memorable from start to finish. Spoon The Boat provided a truly fantastic dining experience, and we would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. Every dish was absolutely delicious and enjoyed down to the very last crumb. The flavors were truly memorable and left a lasting impression. The service was impeccable. A special thank you to one of the staff members who kindly added a candle to the dessert for my boyfriend, making the occasion even more special. We will definitely remember this restaurant and this wonderful experience. Keep up the amazing work!
I attended a private event at Spoon The Boat and overall had a good time. The location is truly exceptional, offering breathtaking, front-row views of the Buda Castle lit up at night across the Danube, alongside the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. The service was a strong point: the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was good, and the absolute highlight of the menu was a phenomenal pistachio dessert that was truly delicious. For entertainment, we had a great live music set by the talented local acoustic duo, Sophie (Zsófia) and Joseph, who brought a wonderful lounge energy to the start of the night before the DJ took over to keep the party going. The only reason I’m giving it a 4/5 instead of a perfect score is that some of the interior decor and setups feel a bit outdated. It is still a beautiful, classic venue for an event with an unbeatable backdrop, but a slight modern refresh would really bring it to its full potential.
