A Michelin restaurant serving unique creative dishes. We chose three course lunch set and that’s plenty. It’s a part of prestige hotel. Great service, atmosphere, and dishes.
the amuse bouche was amazing. we started with the foie gras and the "GARDEN" dish. both were really great. with the foie gras at Michelin level.. then , the salmon was done quite good but the risotto that came with it was not at the level of this restaurant. the duck was good. the Ricota desert was very interesting with the truffle foam... all in all, a good experience. thoughI believe that the wine pricing is a bit too high.
It's our 3rd visit in Budapest and the same in this restaurant. The previous visits were outstanding! Even speechless! However, this time although the fact that it has no Michelin star like in previous visits it is recommended by Michelin, we came to eat. But if you ask me, there is a reason why it has no star: one of the plates of the served dish was a bit broken. It doesn't bother me but this wouldn't happen in stared restaurant. The food is good but half of it were just fine, like the salmon or even less like the venison which were too much chewy and cold. Some were very good like the cauliflower and mushrooms soup and the main dish of the carrots. The deserts, I prefer not to talk. Our suggestion maybe to focus on vegan dishes which were good. To summarize, me and my wife were very disappointed. The place was almost empty in the evening (!) Not expensive but for this cost I would choose other restaurant.
Tried the 4 course lunch set menu and the taste is so good. All dishes look stylish and creative. Thank you Vito for his excellent services. He is professional and friendly. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Just a customer suddenly turned on his phone speaker to watch video clips and the sound disturbed everyone in the restaurant in the interim.
We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Costes Downtown during Restaurant Week, and the entire experience was truly memorable. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, with a great balance and attention to detail. The dessert, in particular, was stunning—both artistic in presentation and delightfully creative in taste, making for a perfect ending to the meal. A special thank you to Lilla and Rita for their outstanding service. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout the evening. When they learned it was my husband’s birthday, they surprised us with a small cake, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful gesture. It was a beautiful evening filled with great food and heartfelt moments. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely come back again :)
