High quality cooking. Tried their goulash soup, pork knuckles and pork belly. All were delicious and the portions generous. The ac was not working so even inside it was very hot. Service attentive
An absolutely memorable experience at the KARAC restaurant in Budapest. The excellence of the cuisine is undeniable: creative dishes, authentic flavours, and impeccable presentation. But what truly makes this restaurant special are the people who work there. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with a smile, genuine kindness, and attention to detail that made us feel at home. The professionalism, dedication, and passion of the entire team turned an excellent lunch into an unforgettable experience. KARAC is much more than a great restaurant; it is a place where the quality of the food meets the quality of the people. Without a doubt, a place to return to. We had amazing lunch at Karak. Food was delicious and had that homemade taste while looking picture perfect. Ambient is really nice. On top there is amazing staff and service, they continuously surprised us with small tokens of appreciation making our lunch experience even better. Cold cuts on the picture 🔝 Beef stew was delicious and duck 🔝 I highly recommend trying out their lemonades, they are not standard flavoured one, they have interesting twist. I drank mango chilli 🌶️ which I highly recommend if you like spicy flavours 👌🏻
We enjoyed the atmosphere, but only 4 star as too many plastic flowers. Also the food was delicious, but the goulash arrived cold and had to be re-heated. Then it was delicious, but no invite for a glass of wine or anything as an excuse. But this is a normal thing in Budapest it seems. Price was great for quality. Also a suggestion for the owner - please spend some money on proper napkins. Even McDonalds has more respect for their clients !
I don’t usually write long reviews, but this place genuinely deserves it. If you’re in Budapest and want a true taste of Hungarian cuisine with exceptional hospitality, this is the spot. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately stood out. Warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling pretentious. It has that perfect balance where you can relax but still feel like you’re somewhere special. Now the food… honestly, outstanding. We came specifically to try authentic Hungarian dishes, and everything exceeded expectations. The goulash was rich, deep in flavour, and clearly made with care, not rushed or watered down like you sometimes find in tourist spots. The mangalica pork was another highlight, perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavour. Portions were generous too, so you definitely get value for money.  What really elevated the experience though was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. They didn’t just take orders, they guided us through the menu, made recommendations based on what we liked, and absolutely nailed it. It felt personal, not scripted. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it makes a huge difference.  The overall experience felt effortless. No long waits, no stress, just great food, great energy, and great people. Whether you’re visiting Budapest for the first time or you’ve been before, this is one of those places you’ll remember and want to come back to. Easily one of the best dining experiences we had in the city. If you want authentic Hungarian food with top-tier service, don’t even think twice, just go.
