The restaurant is beautiful, with plenty of seating. We went about 10 minutes after they opened in the morning for breakfast, and there were only one or two other tables of customers. We were seated right away, and our orders were taken quickly. Service was a bit slow though, as it took quite a while to get our food. My friend even asked at one point if maybe they forgot us. My friend got the green shakshuka, and I got the regular shakshuka. The flavors were good, but the eggs were slighlty overdone. The pita was fluffy/soft. The grapefruit strawberry lemonade I got was very refreshing. Overall, a nice place for breakfast.
Twentysix is a truly beautiful restaurant with a fantastic ambiance. The setting is absolutely stunning and creates a memorable dining experience. If you’re visiting purely for the atmosphere, this place deserves 5 stars without hesitation. Unfortunately, the service and food did not live up to the exceptional surroundings. While the staff was friendly and polite, there were several mistakes during our visit. My omelet order was forgotten entirely, and an additional Espresso Macchiato was mistakenly served as a regular espresso. When we pointed this out, the same espresso was returned with a dollop of foam on top and had become lukewarm by the time it came back. The omelet itself was okay, but for the price it felt rather basic—just eggs with a small amount of lettuce on the side. From a culinary perspective, the standards were not as high as we expected. The croissant also did not taste fresh. This is what makes the experience somewhat disappointing: the venue itself is enchanting and one of the most beautiful breakfast and brunch settings in Budapest. If you come for the ambiance, you’ll likely love it. If you’re expecting the food and service to match the spectacular surroundings, you may leave wanting more.
Beautiful experience. The place is very nice, surrounded by plants, it does give you a feeling of escaping the city to relax. The service is also very good, very attentive. Food is great: the eggs Benedict with salmon are delicious. Their coffee is also very good, the best we had in Budapest. Totally recommended. Reservations are highly recommended, since the place is packed and there is a long line of people waiting for a table.
We had a wonderful experience at TwentySix Budapest! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful jungle-inspired interior and relaxing atmosphere. The space feels like a green oasis in the heart of Budapest — stylish, cozy, and perfect for both a romantic dinner and a gathering with friends. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of fresh, vibrant flavors. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the creativity behind the menu. The cocktails were also fantastic — well-balanced and refreshing. The service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff made us feel truly welcome and ensured that everything was perfect throughout the evening. I highly recommend TwentySix to anyone visiting Budapest. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a full experience. We will definitely be back!
The place has a cozy atmosphere, it has a brief menu with multiple options for everyone. The food was good, for my taste the amount of butter was a little too much in the brioche. The coffee was decent, more towards traditional taste, not specialty. The staff was very friendly. Be aware that it is normally a line at any peak hours and it's best to avoid these if you want a smooth experience and place at a table.
