Authentic Italian deli in downtown Budapest, run by Italians who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The owner is incredibly friendly, happy to answer questions, recommend items from the menu and genuinely cares about the guest experience. We tried Mortadella&Stracciatella and Prosciutto Crudo&Mozzarella focaccia sandwiches. The flavors are good, although we’ve had better Italian sandwiches elsewhere in the city. The standard focaccia sandwiches all cost 3900Ft however, this isn’t clearly indicated anywhere on the menu, or perhaps we simply overlooked it. One thing worth knowing before visiting, if you’re expecting something similar to the classic sandwiches from places like All’Antico Vinaio in Italy, this is a different concept. The sandwich names literally describe everything inside. Nothing more, nothing less. Ingredients like tomatoes, greens, truffle cream, or fior di latte cream are available only as extras (+200Ft each), which makes the standard versions feel a bit dry and lacking some freshness and creaminess. The focaccia itself could also be softer and more moist. We shared this feedback with the owner and what impressed us most was how openly and positively he received constructive criticism. He even offered us a small discount on our meal as a kind gesture, which was completely unexpected and very much appreciated. The atmosphere is cozy, the prices are reasonable, and despite a few things that could be improved, it’s still a lovely little Italian spot that’s worth trying if you’re in the area. You can decide for yourself whether this style of sandwich is your cup of tea.🥪
This place is awesome!! The couple who run it are of course italians and really passionate about their food, wine and beer. Try their sandwiches- heaven! Can write so much more- just perfect!
Very nice place and Italian bar. A couple run it from Italy. Bakery , cheese , little delicate. Everything is perfect. The only thing I dis not like it’s a gnocchi with seafood , what should not be served like it’s cold , specially that it is a warm dish. Also I found a long hair in it… Did not take a picture , just lost my appetite Apart of this I still think that it’s a good bar
My new favourite place in the city! Spent there a few hours, trying some of the sweets with coffee and then ate a sandwich which is freshly made using quality ingredients. It seemed like a lot of people love the place and I totally understand why:) Can’t wait to go back
An excellent establishment offering authentic Italian flavors. Very good service with affordable and competitive pricing. Both the sandwiches and the variety of meats and cheeses are of outstanding quality. The coffee is excellent and the staff's attention is unbeatable. Highly recommended!
