we ate two nights in a row here at this fantastic restaurant. really genuine Hungarian restaurant with well-cooked food at very good prices. the staff was very nice and knowledgeable. really good service in every way. next time we are in Budapest we will come back to this restaurant. became a favorite immediately
It looks like this place is quite popular, so making a reservation in advance is recommended. However, I was welcomed without one and had almost no wait time. Thanks to a very friendly host, the short wait went smoothly. The interior ambiance enhances the dining experience. The portions are good as well as the ingredients, and everything is supported by very attentive and friendly service. There is also a large variety of drinks and Hungarian dishes.
They are very friendly and honest definitely not a tourist‑trap place. You can enjoy real, authentic Hungarian food here. The menu is quite large, but the staff are very helpful and give honest recommendations. I tried the goose leg with goose liver; it was okay, but the beef with paprika sauce was really delicious.
Quality Hungarian food, very well done and tasty. The service was very friendly and the attendant very attentive and informative. It is in front of the beautiful Városliget and is an excellent option after a walk in the park, specially because it is possible to have lunch throughout the afternoon (we arrive at 3 pm and have lunch normally, always seeing more people arrive and be served).
Without exaggeration, this was one of the standout places during my trip to Budapest. The prices were very reasonable compared to other spots I tried, and both the food and service were excellent. The goulash was easily the highlight for me—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Some other dishes that worth mentioning are choices: 13, 21 and 39. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the city!
