Description

Travel to the Austrian capital on a full-day tour from Budapest. Vienna is just a 2 to 2.5-hour drive by motorway. When you arrive in Vienna you’ll drive along the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard, to get an overview of the city and a look at many of its important sights. See the State Opera House, the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Parliament, the Burgtheater, the City Hall, and the Votive Church. Your guide will take you on a short walk to see the most beautiful parts of the city center. You’ll visit the Museum Quarter and the Hofburg, which was the winter residence of the Habsburgs. Walk along Kärtner Strasse, Vienna’s main shopping street, and see St. Stephen's Cathedral. After the tour you’ll have time for shopping in the elegant pedestrian area. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to visit Schönbrunn Palace or any of the other museums, or to head to the Prater, Vienna’s well-known amusement park. On the way back to Budapest you’ll stop at Hundertwasser House, which is a journey into the world of creative architecture.
