Step away from the city’s hustle and discover Budapest’s hidden water paradise by kayaking near Molnár Island. Paddle along one of the Danube’s magical and untamed stretches, where lush vegetation, calm waters, and water birds create an unforgettable experience. Glide through this breathtaking nature reserve in a transparent handcrafted kayak, offering a special perspective, letting you feel even closer to the water. This special experience is limited to just three people at a time, ensuring a peaceful and unique adventure. Please note that this is a self-guided tour. The host will prepare the kayaks and all the equipment for you on the starting dock. All you need to bring is your sense of adventure. The kayaks are stable, but good balance is required - previous kayaking experience is highly recommended. The starting and finishing point is in Budapest’s XXI. district, one of the docks on the Danube, in front of the Kolonics György Leisure Center, accessible from the promenade. The self-guided tour lasts about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, stops, and the distance you cover on the river. When you arrive back at the starting point, please send a message or call on WhatsApp or Viber. The host will be there within minutes to collect all the equipment. We can provide waterproof bag for your small valuables. All other bigger bags or luggages will be stored in a safe and locked space. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Max. weight: 75 kg(/165 lbs) Max. height: 180 cm(/5′ 11″) Please do not exceed these measures, otherwise you are risking you will not fit into the kayak. Further notes: - The smaller river branch on the east side of Molnár Island can be used for kayaking, but in summer and fall the vegetation becomes so dense that you cannot paddle through its entire length. If you enter, be prepared to turn back at some point. - Feel free to use any docks for short stops but please note that all docks are private - Please keep distance from the shores as there may be fishermen - Wearing the life vest is mandatory by law - Kayaks are built using 'skin-on-frame' technology, meaning the hull is not hard plastic but a flexible material. Feel free to book this experience any time of the year - nature reveals a spectacular new side in winter too. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing. In the event of inclement weather, this event may be canceled, in which case a full refund will be issued or an alternative date will be offered.
