Description
Meet at The Tasting Table, a wine cellar operating in the Palace District for over ten years. Start with a wine introduction paired with charcuterie and local cheeses. The tour continues with tastings at five more venues, including a bakery established in 1870, a courtyard bar serving pálinka (fruit brandy), a neighborhood bistro offering gulyás soup and appetizers, and dessert at a historic coffeehouse.
Between tastings, stroll through elegant streets between Budapest’s inner and outer ring roads. Visit the gardens of the National Museum and café-lined streets with a Bohemian vibe. The guide provides historical and cultural insights about the area, including its role during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the Italian community’s influence, and visits to buildings and courtyards normally closed to the public.
