Description
The Danube Bend Multi Adventure blends an 8 km forest hike with a 10 km kayak trip, creating a balanced day of activity and relaxation. You start with hotel pickup from Budapest, then drive about one hour to Nagymaros on the Danube Bend.
From Nagymaros, the hike ascends 450 metres to Julianus Lookout Tower, offering panoramic views over the river and Visegrád Hills. The first uphill section is steep but brief, suitable for reasonably fit participants. The trail continues through forest paths with possible wildlife sightings and opportunities for good conversation.
After returning to the river, you receive a safety briefing before kayaking on the calm Danube. The current assists paddling, so no prior kayaking experience is needed. Along the way, you pass ruins of Visegrád Castle and may stop at a sandy riverside beach for a break. The tour concludes with a drive back to Budapest.
