Description
The tour begins at Normafa with a guided walk through the Svábhegy Observatory’s historic park, surrounded by ancient trees and heritage buildings. Learn about the site’s history and the current astronomical research.
Next, visit the Budapest Dome to explore the observatory’s largest telescopes and historical instruments while hearing stories about the scientists who use them. Experience a live solar observation through a large telescope, safely viewing sunspots, solar flares, and prominences.
