The Pest side of Budapest was home to one of the most flourishing Jewish communities in the region from the 18th century until the mid-20th century. This tour reveals that heritage through guided visits and storytelling by a historian expert.
Starting from Deák Square, you will walk through the Gozsdu Passage and visit two historical synagogues: the Rumbach Street Synagogue and the Kazinczy Street Synagogue. Both offer valuable insights as important art historical and cultural monuments.
You will also visit the Ghetto Memorial Wall, which commemorates the Holocaust. Hear stories of survival and those who helped others endure during those times.
