This place was highly recommended to us by our Belgian friends, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The food and cocktails were outstanding, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to the lovely Domi, who greeted us warmly every time and made us feel truly at home. We would highly recommend this place to everyone and can't wait to come back!
This was our second visit here — the first time was in October 2022, and the second in May 2026. Both visits were absolutely wonderful. The main courses and desserts were delicious, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of the food, the beautiful view, the atmosphere, and the level of service. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We arrived close to opening time (4:00 PM), so it wasn't crowded yet, which gave us a chance to enjoy the place and take some photos. Still one of my favorite places, and a spot I'll gladly return to again and again.
We found this spot through Google Maps and selected the High Note SkyBar. While we were excited, we were initially a bit disappointed once we sat down with our drinks and looked at the menu. However, we decided to speak with the staff, and that changed everything. The team was incredibly accommodating and proposed moving us downstairs to the Library—and we ended up enjoying ourselves to the max! • Service: Very kind, helpful, and truly driven to satisfy the guest. The transition they handled from the rooftop to the ground floor was seamless. • Food: The quality was awesome. The portions were quite small, but the flavors were excellent. • Atmosphere: We enjoyed the ground-floor Library a lot. It featured gentle music and provided the perfect setting for good conversation. If the rooftop isn't exactly what you're looking for, definitely ask about the Library. The staff will take great care of you!
Overall, it was a memorable experience with a few minor drawbacks. The standout aspect of the evening was the staff. Despite arriving without a reservation, the team was exceptionally accommodating and made a genuine effort to find us seating. Their professionalism and willingness to help set a positive tone right from the start, which is not always guaranteed at popular rooftop venues. The ambience fully lives up to expectations. The setting is stylish and relaxed, with a refined atmosphere that complements the panoramic city views. It strikes a nice balance between upscale and welcoming, making it suitable for both casual drinks and special occasions. The cocktail menu is creative and clearly well thought out, particularly the signature selections. Most of the drinks we tried were well-balanced and enjoyable. However, one cocktail—“Whispers of the Wind”—didn’t quite meet expectations. The presentation included a foam topping that felt intrusive, as it interfered with the drinking experience rather than enhancing it. Additionally, the melon flavor was overly dominant and came across more like an artificial, candy-like sweetness than a natural note, which threw off the balance of the drink. That said, aside from this one miss, the rest of the cocktails were well-executed and enjoyable, showing strong attention to detail and flavor. Overall, High Note Sky Bar delivers on service, atmosphere, and creativity. With a small refinement in certain cocktail presentations, it could easily be a top-tier experience across the board.
We had a lovely experience! The restaurant is decorated in the theme of music and notes- it is really pretty. There was nice music playing and even piano that was playing live at some point. We were dining at the upper level, where we saw the gorgeous view of Budapest at night. The service was beyond words- absolutely perfect! The waiters had great recommendations, they were attentive and truly made us feel like we were the only customers that night. The cocktails were incredible, I tried a cocktail with a Sinatra theme- it was fantastic. As to the food, it was absolutely delicious! My pasta dish was amazing, and it looked great as well. The whole experience was wonderful and we had a lovely time there. Highly recommend visiting! 😃😃
