A truly exceptional stay at The St. Regis Budapest. From the moment we arrived, the hotel set a standard that few can match — elegant, historic, and beautifully maintained — but what elevated our stay from wonderful to unforgettable was the service. I want to give a special mention to Lily, who hosted us throughout our stay and was simply amazing. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her thoughtful recommendations and personal touches made us feel truly looked after. The rooms were immaculate, the location is ideal for exploring the city, and the overall experience reflected the refined hospitality the St. Regis name promises. Thank you to Lily and the entire team for a stay we won't forget.
Absolutely stunning property! We had a lovely stay here and enjoyed so much of Budapest and what the hotel had to offer. We enjoyed the spa with a couples massage and our therapists both were delightful and kind. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a better massage with stretches and relief of a shoulder pain that has been bothering me for years. It hasn’t hurt since. The spa is beautiful and I would recommend spending extra time in the pool to relax further. Our room was so comfortable I didn’t ever want to leave it. When we arrived we had a bar of homemade praline chocolate waiting for us. This was one of the most delicious desserts I have ever tasted. The decor and flowers throughout the hotel feels like what I image it was like to be part of the very elite of European society. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel! The live music in the cocktail bar was also lovely.
My initial stay at The St. Regis Budapest was unfortunately not what I expected from the St. Regis brand. There were several service and operational issues that left me disappointed, and I communicated those concerns directly to the hotel. What truly impressed me, however, was what happened afterward. General Manager Ausra Lucinskaite personally took the time to listen, respond, and address my concerns with professionalism, sincerity, and genuine care. Rather than offering a generic response, she demonstrated a real commitment to guest satisfaction and restoring confidence in the property. As a newly opened hotel, challenges can happen. What matters most is how leadership responds, and in this regard, Ausra and her team showed a level of accountability and hospitality that deserves recognition. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an excellent location in the heart of Budapest. The architecture, design, and overall atmosphere are exactly what you would expect from a luxury property carrying the St. Regis name. While my first experience was not perfect, I truly appreciate the efforts made to make things right. Because of the professionalism shown by the management team, I am looking forward to returning in the future—hopefully with my family—to create new and better memories in one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Thank you, Ausra, for your kindness and dedication to your guests.
We were staying at another "5 star" hotel in town for a work event and decided to switch it up for our last night in Budapest 2 weeks ago. Our stay at the St. Regis was nothing short of incredible. This is a true 5 star hotel. It had only recently opened and wasn't yet operating at full occupancy, however we were taken care of like they had been doing this for years. The location is perfect and the renovation of the building is impeccable. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom duplex penthouse suite that was indescribable; it was massive, exquisitely decorated and incredibly high-end. The room was quiet, beds were amazing, and every component was so well-designed. Lux finishes and fittings, great products, butler service, treats and chocolates left for us! We attended the sabering, which was held in the gorgeous center atrium and is such a nice event; it was great to meet some of the staff and other guests. The gym was clean and machines were comprehensive; the room was spacious and sunny. Wish the treadmills had views but I'd guess they were limited by the historic architecture. We had an amazing light lunch in the delightfully renovated pharmacy-turned-cafe. Our waiter Mojtaba was excellent and he went out of his way to inform us of the history of the building and give us a small tour. He even remembered my coffee order; (he happened to be working at a small cafe across the city several days prior and I had met him there briefly and he remembered both me and my order!). Staff were attentive yet discreet; they never hovered yet they somehow knew what we needed before we even realized we needed it! We had drinks that evening in the bar which also had live music; the bar is gorgeous and the drinks were creative and well-executed. I loved the glassware from Stölzle Lausitz so much that I ordered both the champagne coupes and champagne tulip glasses when I got back to the US. We decided to eat in the hotel as we were craving a quiet evening in. 99 Sushi was perhaps the highlight of our dining (well, the breakfast was next level but I'll get to that)! I have low expectations for in-hotel restaurants, however this place blew us away. The waygu was amazing, the maki incredible, fish was fresh, and service was impeccable. They even helped to celebrate my husbands birthday which was that evening. Breakfast was included in my husbands Bonvoy status, so we indulged (we aren't really breakfast people). This was by far the most amazing hotel breakfast we've ever had. Service was top-notch, my husband had the avocado croissant and I had the middle eastern eggs. So many delicious little bites brought to us from breads, fruits, granola. I really appreciated that this was table service and not a buffet. My only regret is that we weren't able to stay here longer. I'd definitely return without hesitation.
What an incredible stay at The St. Regis Budapest! The location is great, the hotel is stunning and the whole team thinks about every detail to deliver the best experience. My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be among the hotel’s very first guests while celebrating our anniversary, and it was truly the perfect way to end our time in Budapest. The property is absolutely amazing, but what made our stay even more special was the exceptional team. A huge thank you to Adèle, Adam, Viktoria, Grant, Norbert, Fruzsina, and of course the General Manager Ms. Lucinskaite for such a warm, thoughtful, and memorable experience. Every interaction felt genuine, caring, and beautifully executed. For such a recent opening, the level of service is impressive. We absolutely loved our room, the spa, the bar with the signature blood mary cocktails, and of course the sabrage which is a beautiful daily ritual and very well executed, showing the St. Regis spirit. We can’t wait to come back!
