Reviews
This is an amazing place to have dinner. I started off rough because i didn't really enjoy the starters but then as we went on to the second part of the food i started to warm up to the place. The waitresses and waiters were very kind. They also give complementary snacks, like the second dessert at the end and the very first snack u eat to prep your tastebuds for the magic you will eat. This place is just amazing! Will definitely come again if i visit budapest!!!
Wonderful and innovative dishes. Had the 5 course set menu and they accommodated me being pescatarian with a separate menu. I had items I never even thought of like smoked carrot. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.
MÁK was a rare find for us. Although it is not hidden, we have somehow overlooked it. It is rather intimate and if you like fine dining and tasting menus, you won't be disappointed. The menus are reasonably priced and you can purchase a wine pairing as you would expect. Went for the 7-course tasting menu, which is more like 10 if you count the snacks before the actual menu, and petit fours at the end. I had it with local wine flight, and it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't hungry by the end of it, as you might think you end up if you are going for a tasting menu. The staff are very professional and they can answer any questions you might have. All I can do is recommend MÁK if you want to try something different, made using local ingredients. Next time we're back in the city we'll be visiting again!
We went to Mak for a Valentine’s Day lunch and had a truly beautiful experience. Each course was elegant and thoughtfully prepared. The presentation was refined, and the flavors were balanced and memorable - from the delicate foie gras to the perfectly cooked venison and the stunning desserts. The atmosphere is calm and sophisticated and the service is attentive without being overwhelming. Mák is not just a place to eat, but a place to enjoy a carefully crafted dining experience. We will definitely come again and again ❤️
We opted for the 7-course dinner with the traditional wine pairing. They use local and regional ingredients to highlight the region. The staff is incredible - warm, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about both the dishes and the wine pairings. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a special dinner in Budapest!
