Reviews
I have never left a negative review for a restaurant, but it was such a negative experience that I feel like I should. We visited a couple of week's ago. My partner booked beforehand after seeing lots of good reviews and being intrigued by the decor/drawing on tables gimmick. Once seated, we were effectively ignored by the staff. There was one server working, but two other people, either friends of the server or other staff, were also in the restaurant, and the server spent her time seated with these people. We were given no pencils for drawing and we were only spoken to to have our order taken. We eventually asked for the bill because the server made no attempt to clear our plates. Part of the reason we visited is because there was supposedly a decent choice for vegetarians, which was not the case. There was one option, vegetable moussaka, which was fine at best. My partner had the duck, which was better apparently. We were just made to feel incredibly unwelcome and it really spoilt our evening.
Although the restaurant does not make an impression from the outside, we had a very good dinner here and the quality of food was great! The menu also has a very good selection of dishes.
Super special meal in Budapest, perfect for date night or a bestie date. The restaurant was so unique and sweet. Every course was impeccable and I am still thinking about the crème caramel fois gras and the spätzle . Loved this gourmet Hungarian/ French fusion. Was definitely the highlight of my visit to Budapest as a foodie. Should be on the Michelin guide imo
