The hotel is very well located, close to tram and metro station. It’s also very good if you want to explore Budapest by foot. The bedroom is small but very comfortable and clean and with everything you need. It’s also very quiet although super central. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety and everything was being replaced very quickly. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my friends.
I had a very pleasant stay at D8 Hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many major attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The room was a bit small, but ... overall I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Budapest.
Great hotel in a great area. The definition of value for money since you get it all; location, stylish renovated clean rooms and great service from the hotel stuff. The breakfast was the main highlight for me, great range and quality, I still miss it to this day...Only downside was the size of the room (small main area but spacious bathroom) and the fact that the doors were so heavy that it was impossible to close a door without making any noise (could be an issue if you are a light sleeper, it was quite noisy especially in the mornings from all the doors opening and closing). However I would totally recommend and I would come back anytime.
Staff very helpful and friendly, across the board. Hotel in a great spot for exploring, whether by Tram or bus. 5 mins walk from the Danube & Hop on Hop Off Bus tour, which was great for seeing the sights and where things are (& included an hours boat trip on the Danube) Rooms on the smaller side, but exceptionally clean and the bathroom was very well equipped. Breakfast was great too, all catered for. Great city, would definitely visit again & recommend. I would stay at D8 again too.
I found this hotel to be very good! It’s centrally located, just one block from the river and tram service, right behind the InterContinental Hotel. The hotel is modern, with small but comfortable rooms and a great shower — everything you really need for a Budapest trip. The breakfast was excellent and included in our $142 per night rate. There is construction going on next door (as of April 2026), but it didn’t affect our stay at all. We did notice the block isn’t very busy with businesses and activity, but it’s really no big deal — just a heads-up.
