I spent a day at the Spa including an aromatherapy massage. The spa is beautiful, I would just say that the reception didn’t feel like 5 star, I had to request slippers after I saw there were none provided in the locker, no introduction to where things were, no info on where or when to go for my treatment, no towels in the actual bathing area and tea served in a paper cup with a teabag felt a little under par for such a luxurious establishment. 5 stars for the massage by Edit, perfect pressure, great choice of oils and I felt completely relaxed and well taken care of. All being said, I’d return if I was in Budapest again.

My boyfriend took us to Budapest for Christmas this year and we stayed at the Corinthia Royal Hotel. The thermal baths of the Royal Spa were conveniently located downstairs in the hotel and I was so excited to see the Omorovisca products were used in the services and available for retail there. So, my boyfriend insisted on treating me to a traditional Hungarian mud wrap. (And Luckily, I was also able to also enjoy a bespoken facial at the Omorovicza Andrassy boutique in the same day as I went there, only a few blocks away from the hotel, that morning and I was able to get all my skincare products as well…ahh the excitement so, I digress). The Royal Spa had a beautiful 2 story thermal bath spa including 2 jacuzzi’s, 1 regular sauna, one salt sauna, a steam room, (including the ice chip dispenser), and swimming bath with large lounge areas on the first floor. The spa treatment rooms were located on the 2nd floors. My treatment was with Kecskes Anna Berta (known as Anna) she made this one of the best body treatments I have ever had the privilege to indulge upon!! (We travel a ton and luxury spas have become a thing for me so, he indulges me quite a bit but, only if they’re highly reputable) Her positive energy, big smiles and little laughs were so contagious and by the end of my treatment, my spirits had lifted quite a bit. She has the hands, professionalism and strength of a modern sculptor and an ancient artisan in one -her massage techniques were next level. Every movement she made on my skin felt so delightful, sumptuous, refined as each stroke was one continuous orchestra of blissful comfort, after another. Each knead was one long, soothing, continuous movement and you couldn’t really figure out where the she started and where she finished…but, I definitely felt her positivity energy move onto me. It was incredible and I highly recommend her!! We look forward to returning in warmer weather to experience more of the culture this beautiful country has to offer and I can not wait to have her as my “masszor” again!!! Kudos to Anna of the Royal Spa at Corinthia Hotel, Budapest!!!

The massage itself was excellent, I'd give it 5/5 for skill. The therapist was professional and friendly, though I personally didn't enjoy the scalp massage at the end. What really disappointed me was the spa facility. There were two shower booths. I used the left one, and the water temperature control was terrible. It kept fluctuating between hot and cold and wouldn't stay stable, which completely ruined the relaxing, post-massage experience. Body lotion was also running out when I was there. Considering the massage costs around €150 for 90 min, I expected much better maintenance of the facilities.

A very lovely experience! The spa was very clean with many options to relax. The staff was very nice, especially Vivien was very kind and explained everything patiently. :) We came on a weekday morning so it was not crowded at all and the price was more than fair. Bathrobes, tea and water, slippers and towels were included in the price. You could also use their products (e.g shampoos, conditioner, body wash…). All in all a wonderful experience and one of our highlights in Budapest! All the best to the staff of Royal Spa and Greetings from Germany!

We had a wonderful time at the Royal Spa. Between the welcome, the beauty of the spa and the cleanliness, I highly recommend it. We paid a very reasonable price of 11,500 HUF, or €33, for morning access.
