I wanted to be able to love this hotel and write a good review I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by a serious maintenance issue and the way it was handled. During our stay, the toilet seat in our room broke twice. We reported the problem after the first incident, so the hotel was aware of the issue. Despite that, it happened again, and both times it caused me to fall off the toilet and into the wall, injuring my left shoulder and side. What disappointed me most was the response from management. We made multiple attempts to discuss what had happened, hoping they would take the situation seriously and work toward a fair resolution. Instead, I felt our concerns were repeatedly dismissed. Rather than meaningfully addressing the incident, the only gesture offered was a box of chocolates. Accidents can happen, but once a safety issue has been reported, I believe it should be promptly and thoroughly addressed to prevent it from happening again. Given that we reported the issue after the first occurrence and it still happened a second time, resulting in an injury, I believe a partial refund would have been a fair acknowledgment of the impact this had on our stay. Unfortunately, that was never offered. Instead they offered a box of chocolates and a free ride to the airport. In addition the room was so incredibly hot and it was extremely uncomfortable for all three nights of our stay even paying to have their top room for our stay. I hope the hotel uses this experience to improve both its maintenance procedures and the way it responds when guests report safety concerns.
We stayed at the hotel for several days and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The apartment was spacious, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job throughout our stay and paid attention to every detail. The location is perfect - close to major attractions, restaurants, shops, and public transportation, making it very convenient to get around the city. Above all, we would like to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, helpful, and always willing to assist with a smile. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again in the future! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A wonderful, stylish hotel right in the heart of Budapest that left us absolutely delighted! Stories Boutique Hotel is the perfect blend of cool modern design, coziness, and a prime location. The hotel is highly 'Instagrammable,' with every interior detail thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help or give a great recommendation. The vibe is very lively, yet inside the hotel, you feel tucked away and comfortable. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep—an aesthetic spot with real character—this is definitely it. We will absolutely be back!
This hotel is great. Its located in a good place, close to the bus stop at the end of the street and close to nice bars and restaurants. We stayed in the presidential suite which was insane. The hotel staff are all very helpful and easy to deal with with We were there early and left off our bags, the hotel kept updating us via WhatsApp and we got an alert our room was ready a couple of hours early. The restaurant is Nr 26 and its an Instagram hub with lots of people coming more to take their own picture. If you stay in the hotel you can flash your room key and get a preferential seat. The breakfast is nice. I would highly recommend staying in any room in this hotel.
Exceptional stay! The hotel is beautifully designed with a unique and stylish vibe. Our room was absolutely amazing and very comfortable. The service was top-notch, and you simply cannot beat this location – it’s close to everything. Great value for money, highly recommended!
