We had such a fantastic evening at this Tiki Bar during our girls’ trip to Budapest! The cocktails were creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was vibrant, fun, and full of positive energy, making it the perfect place to relax and celebrate with friends. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and provided excellent service. We especially loved the tropical vibe, unique décor, and great music. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing cocktails, great service, and a memorable night out. We would definitely come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The cocktails look nice and taste good. But for me as a solo drinker at the bar. I don't understand why you'd have seats at the bar if your staff would do nothing to attempt any form of interaction. I'd have minded less that they'd rather just not acknowledge I exist if they didn't have the audacity to show me a tip screen when paying and to be noticeably displeased by me choosing 0. I'm more than happy to tip for a good service. But doing the absolute minimum isn't tip worthy. I also don't understand if the dry ice was just for the presentation which at first it looks fun but it doesn't actually enhance the drink or the experience. It just feels added on as an afterthought because it looks good at first until you wonder what purpose it was meant to be playing. The food wasn't great. Being offered nachos at room temperature with a cold cheese sauce isn't a fun experience I'd seriously not waste your money on it.
Stumbled upon this place as it was near our apartment. Very glad we did. Well decorated tiki themed bar. Lots of nice touches. Drinks were good and seemed decent value. They had space for larger groups at the back which allowed a more relaxed feel at the bar with more couples and smaller friend groups. Not sure if they offered food but the drinks list was well laid out and themed appropriately.
If you’re in Budapest and even remotely into tiki bars, do not miss Rumpus Tiki Bar—this place is the real deal. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the staff genuinely cares about creating an authentic tiki experience. The vibe is spot-on—immersive, detailed, and exactly what you hope for in a true tiki bar. The drinks were outstanding—not only did they taste fantastic, but the presentation was next level. Every detail was clearly intentional, from the glassware to the garnishes. A special shoutout to our bartender, Christopher, who absolutely elevated the experience with his attention to detail and craftsmanship. I’ve been to a lot of tiki bars, and this is hands down the best one I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend.
Tiki bar will most definitely serve you a good time. The atmosphere is perfectly tacky in the best way possible. It’s completely over the top which makes it amazing, it’s impossible not to get immersed into the world. The drinks are served in such an over the top manner and they all fit the theme not to mention they taste AMAZING! It’s the place that got me to enjoy cocktail flavours I usually wouldn’t like. And don’t let the sweetness of the drinks fool you - you will NOT remember a thing after you leave. It’s a can’t miss experience, I’ve been several times. Tourist or local I love going here and taking my buddies here from all over the world and they all agree you’re bound to have a good time. The staff are super nice and wonderful too!! You might want to reserve a table if you’re going on a weekend it tends to be full then, and for sure go for like 2 hours.
