Great bar for an evening on the river! Amazing views , lots of drinks available and friendly staff. There is a charge to use the toilet and for cups but you get the cup fee back by handing in tokens downstairs. Went on a Sunday and great dj set and lots of positive vibes.
Great views obviously, not bad pricing considering the location. Staff aren't so helpful here, and you need to watch for what you're charged. I questioned an overcharge, and was told it was for the plastic cup, and I would get a refund for that on returning it.. but i didn't get a token, or had that explained to me when I bought the drinks, so was unaware of it. I was quickly given a token though, but when we left, there were plenty of cups on other tables - so for sure, there were other people that also weren't told that, or given tokens. If I were the owners, I would be watching for that - not suggesting anything, but it is possible that your tokens are redeemed one way or another, but not by you.. maybe it's a regular oversight, maybe bad training.. anyway, watch out for that
If you are looking for a casual spot to grab a drink and soak in the quintessential Budapest scenery, this is it. The open-air location right on the Danube Promenade offers an absolutely unmatched, front-row view of the iconic Chain Bridge and the Buda Castle skyline across the water. It’s the perfect place to sit back at a table with a cold beer and enjoy the sunset. They have fantastic live outdoor music and DJ sets that pull together an amazing, laid-back riverside atmosphere. The drinks are served in standard plastic cups, and it can get busy, but for a relaxed drink with a killer view it's a good place.
Not the kind of place you come to for craft cocktails or fine dining — you come here for the atmosphere. Live music, people dancing by the river, sunset views of the bridge, and that chaotic summer energy Budapest does really well. Definitely one of the better spots in the city if you just want drinks, good mood, and an easy night by the water. Best enjoyed late afternoon into the evening.
