Palatinus Strand Baths

Wonderful pools and baths that I would recommend to many people. There were four water slides, and sadly two were closed. The ones that were open were the blue and purple ones. Even with only two slides, my kids loved them. The change rooms are co-ed and don’t forget to bring a towel (which we did forget to do). I enjoyed the adventure pool which had a fun whirlpool circle that was very entertaining. The thermal baths were quite enjoyable compared to some of the more cool and refreshing pools.
The best option for running away of the heat. Fair price, definitely worth it. There are many pools, the main middle ones are very crowded, if you wanna calm and relax, turn right or left and find your quiet spots. The slides are awesome. Also the waves pool is fun. Highly recommended. For all ages
would recommend! it was supremely clean, everything was well organised and everything except the children's play pool inside was open (but it was hot, so it wouldn't have been a massive problem). The thermal baths and adventure pools were our particular favourites! I'd definitely recommend. they also offer a discount student ticket which is worth taking advantage of if applicable!
I chose Palatinus Bath mainly because the other thermal baths in Budapest were either closed or much more expensive. I had already visited Széchenyi, Gellért was closed during my trip, Rudas felt quite expensive, and a friend told me Lukács was more like a hospital than a relaxing spa. For the price, Palatinus was excellent value. I paid only €11 for my ticket directly on the website, which is significantly cheaper than the other baths in the city. They don’t provide towels or slippers, but I brought my own, so that wasn’t an issue. The complex has huge outdoor pools, although during my visit the weather was very hot, so I preferred spending my time in the indoor thermal baths instead. The facilities were clean, with plenty of changing rooms and secure lockers available. Another advantage is that there are many affordable food options right outside the bath complex. One thing to be aware of is that purchases inside require a prepaid card system, as regular credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay are not accepted. Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly thermal bath experience in Budapest with clean facilities and good value for money, Palatinus is definitely worth considering.
Pleasant and well-maintained baths and pools on Margaret Island. We visited in early May in very nice weather, and although some of the pools were closed (a few only open late May/early June) there were not many children and still a good number of pools to enjoy along with nice grounds and pool-side areas to relax. Good price at this time of year too.
