We booked the standard twin room which you could tell may have been renovated from what was possibly a cold war era style concrete hotel. The view from the window consisted of the interior of the hotel and it could be noisy at times. The bathroom was very small as was the shower which has seen better days. That said, we probably got what we paid for. The breakfast area is very nicely decorated and the breakfast food was very good. The location of the hotel is excellent being very central and in walking distance of all the main landmarks. However, the local restaurants and bars can be very expensive. One other point is that there was no kettle in the bedroom. You have two pods in a coffee making machine and after that you have to purchase more from reception. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
The most wonderful hotel in Budapest! I stayed with La Prima for my 3rd time in the city, and I was met with consistent friendliness, dedication and professionalism from all of the staff members. Housekeeping was outstanding, breakfast was delicious, the location is absolutely unbeatable (right next to the Elizabeth bridge, Danube promenade, Vaci St and only a few mins walk from Vorosmarty), the interior is luxurious and aesthetically pleasing, and the rooms are so very cosy, inviting and lavish. I could not recommend La Prima more if I tried! Just book your next stay in Budapest with them.
Great location and value, rooms and hallways in need of redecoration. Cobwebs dirty mirror and stain mattress toppers so not a Uk rated 4 star but sheets and towels clean. No kettle no tea bags or cups and charged 2 euro per coffee capsule. They did apply a kettle and said to take teabags at breakfast the next day. Breakfast good selection and long service times. Bed really hard but pillows ok. Was ok for a 2 night stay to explore Budapest
Best place to stay if you want to be in a prime location, everywhere was within walking distance and had good transport links nearby. Staff was very accommodating when we arrived and allowed us to store luggage whilst waiting for our room, which was not a problem. Rooms are decent and spacious with decent beds, slept well the 3 nights I was there. Breakfast was brilliant, plenty of choice and we would go in the last half an hour and there was still enough to go around. Would highly recommend and would go back there in the future.
Excellent location, Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds nice room. Only negative was that the shower gel was almost empty on arrival and not refilled for the 3 nights we were there. All staff very friendly.
