Description

Join a one-of-a-kind overnight hiking and camping experience in the Danube Bend — just outside Budapest, yet deep in nature. We begin with a scenic train ride from Nyugati Railway Station, heading to the hills or riverside near Zebegény or Nagymaros. After arriving, we hike to a carefully selected panoramic viewpoint or peaceful riverside (weather dependent). Along the way, your local guide will share stories and ensure your comfort. As evening falls, we set up camp with provided tents, sleeping bags, and lights. Around the campfire, enjoy a traditional Hungarian-style outdoor dinner: zsíros kenyér (bread with pork fat, onion, and paprika), plus refreshing fröccs (wine spritzer). You'll sleep under the stars, in one of the most scenic natural areas of Hungary. The next morning, after a peaceful wake-up and coffee or tea, we hike back and return to Budapest by train. Whether you’re an adventurous traveler, nature lover, or simply curious to experience real Hungarian outdoor culture, this guided microadventure is for you.
