  • Learn about the history and habits of Hungary & hungarians
  • See the marvellous building of the Parliament
  • Discover the historic buildings and places of the city center
  • Admire the monumental St. Stephans Basilica
  • Walk through the interesting jewish district

Description

We start the tour at the Houses of Parliament with a short explanation of the hungarian history. Then it followes a walk through the Downtown with the old buildings from the 1890s: art niveau palaces, the Postal Saving Bank, the Hungarian National Bank and the St. Stephan's Basilica. A stroll through the city centre also reveals a lot about the everyday life of Budapest's residents: their daily routines, financial matters, politics and society. After this, the walk continues in the famous jewish districht, where several synagogues (Rumbach, Dohány, Kazinczy) and jewish monuments can be find. But not only: modern street art and ruin pubs are here too (you'll get many tips of good restaurants & bars, of course). The end of the walking tour is at the Kazinczy street, near to the Karavan Street Food court and the famous Szimpla ruin pub.
