Description
St Stephen’s Basilica is Hungary’s third largest Catholic church and the most significant church of the capital. In this tour I will tell you the story of the construction of this amazing church, the reasons why it lasted more than 50 years to complete the construction of the building and I will give you a complete architectural description of the basilica’s outer structure and its interior. I will talk about the beautiful, prestigious sculptures, mosaics, paintings and altars found inside the basilica and I will tell you the legend of one of Hungary’s most valuable relics, the Holy Right which you will also have the opportunity to admire. I will also give you an interesting overview on Hungary’s history including Hungarian saints and kings whose sculptures can be seen inside the building. At the end of the tour I will entertain you with a unique folk music performance by singing you some of the most beautiful Hungarian folk songs and showing you some traditional Hungarian folk dance steps.Includes
