Highlights

  • Bask in the grandeur of the most magnificent square of the nation
  • Admire a patchwork of architectural styles in one place
  • Marvel at the various faces of Corvin Castle during the night

Description

We will meet in the most grandiose square of the nation: in Heroes' Sq. under archangel Gabriel, in front of the main chieftain, Arpad. After a brief introduction, we turn our attention to the left hand side semi-circular collonade to quickly examine 2 persons and events from Hungarian history. Following that, we walk over to the right hand side semi-circular collonade to take a look at The king who ended up right in the middle of the Dracula propaganda. After making these historical connections, we walk over to Vajdahunyad castle (behind Heroes' Square) to see how exactly Dracula evolved and how several parts of the castle are connected to him or not. There will be a short digression about the Witcher Netflix series and the climax of the tour will be the discovery of the only two Dracula statues in the city. Here you will find everything you wanted to know about the modern Dracula. From here we will walk back to the entrance of the castle via a small detour.
