Liz & Chain Rooftop Bar is a fantastic spot in Budapest, perfectly located along the Danube riverside. The rooftop offers breathtaking 270° panoramic views over the city, creating a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a drink while watching the sun set over Budapest's iconic skyline. The cocktails were exceptional, especially the Gerbaux, which is an absolute must-try. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're visiting Budapest or looking for a special place for an evening out, Liz & Chain Rooftop Bar is definitely worth a visit.
This place is amazing! The view is spectacular and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly! I really enjoyed it. You can see all of Budapest in this rooftop and the desserts were absolutely delicious
The place is really nice( amazing view and vibes ), food is good and table service good. The only reason I will give 3 stars is because the staff didn’t really cared at all about my request for a better table. I was given a side table with no front view, like a isolated one on the opposite corner… The moment I arrived around 18:15 I asked for a front table, when any came up available. A few tables became available and stayed empty for quite sometime (as you can see in the pictures). I had a reservation and I was told that, those tables were for guests with reservation. Well it didn’t stop me from getting a side isolated table. I have been to many other rooftop bars and restaurants around 6 continents, on much busier times or Weekends (today was a Tuesday) and I always managed to get my request accommodated, specially because I always bring a nice business, either alone or in group. I think the manager or whoever manages the tables should be more attentive to these small details, because they make all difference. I only stayed for less than an hour, but I would be for more. Or maybe …they just don’t even care, because there are tourists all year around… So if you come here, keep in mind to be detailed on your reservation request and that you might be left in the corner like me.
Liz & Chain Rooftop Bar is an absolute highlight! The sunset view is stunning and creates a really special atmosphere , perfect for a relaxed evening above the city. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The drinks are on the pricier side, but definitely worth it , especially the creative and well-made cocktails. Whether you’re into refined cocktails or just prefer a simple beer, this place has something for everyone. Highly recommended, we would definitely come back!
Fantastic service!!! The girl at the reception welcomed us and even took the elevator with us to show us the way up to the rooftop bar. The view is absolutely stunning, you can see the whole Danube, Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. The best time to go is around 18:00h when the lights on Buda Castle turn on. The view is truly breathtaking. Best margherita pinsa I’ve ever had! So delicious, and the prices were more than fair! Big thanks to the waiter who served us as well, young and very professional!
