This was a better than expected experience. First, the ambiance. It really is remarkable how much this feels like an American cafe with the setting, decor, music and everything else. The vibe is really fun and retro with great lighting downstairs in the restaurant. Second, the service. Overall, great. Every single time we go they ask “where are you from” which is clearly designed to take an interest in you from the start. Very smart. The first time we went we had great service from Victor, but the times after that the service was lukewarm from Doras and others. Still pretty good though, just not as good as the first time. Third, the food. Really very good. Although the share platter was okay. The onion rings don’t feel like they are very properly seasoned. The wings are too sweet in general. The tacos were just okay, because they were drenched in sauce. However, the filet mignon was literally perfection. Highly recommend this! Finally, payment. It’s hard to find places in budapest that accept American Express via tap. This place does! Super cool. Keep in mind that they automatically add a 15% service charge. This is standard for the touristic areas in budapest but you’ll never see this in the outskirts of the city. You’re never really expected to tip in Europe except at places like this and in the tourist zones. Overall a very good experience and would recommend. Prices are moderately high, but reasonable considering the overall rise in prices in the city for food and beverage.
Best service ever Adam was great, helpful, gave us ideas for dinner. Great food choices and 5 stars for vegan and no gluten burger. They have children menu, great choice of beverages. Nice and cosy atmosphere ❤️ We travel a lot and this was best service ever for us. Thanks very much! Totally recommend!
Hard Rock Cafe Budapest is a great place with a really nice atmosphere and that recognizable Hard Rock style. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Prices are a bit higher, but that is expected for this type of place and location. A nice bonus was that with the larger cocktail we also got the glasses as a gift, which made the experience feel more special. Overall, a very pleasant visit and definitely worth stopping by if you are in Budapest.
Very Beautiful inside. Pictures of the Beatles, Elvis Prisley, real guitars 🎸 hanging on the walls, clothes of famous rock singers on the walls (in a glass frame) as well. Fantastic decoration even in the WC area. There is also a shop with clothes with firm, hats, pins, T-shirts 👕, very beautiful things. The food, the atmosphere, the personnel excellent. Great location. Strongly recommended
We had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe Budapest and overall it was a good experience. We ordered a hamburger, chicken wings, Thai shrimp, ribs, brownie and cheesecake. The ribs and the desserts were very good — the brownie and cheesecake were especially enjoyable and well prepared. The burger, however, was not at the same level. The meat was not juicy and there was no sauce inside. The French fries did not arrive hot, and with the onion rings we could mainly taste the breading rather than the onion itself. The waiter was polite and did his best, but he clearly had too many tables, so we often had to wait when we wanted to order something additional. Overall, the food had strong and weaker points. The ribs and desserts lifted the experience, but there is room for improvement in the main dishes and service organization.
