We had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton BEM! I truly understand why they were awarded a Michelin Key—the service from every staff member was top-notch, and any minor issues were resolved immediately. Our room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and made for a very comfortable night's sleep. We also dined at AGOS Restaurant for a couple of nights during our stay, and the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!
Our stay at Kimpton BEM Budapest began with an unexpected room mix-up. While it was not the start we had anticipated, what happened afterward is what truly stood out. The management team responded with professionalism, sincerity, and genuine care. They acknowledged the situation, took responsibility, and worked diligently to make things right. Their thoughtful approach transformed what could have been a negative experience into an example of outstanding hospitality. I would especially like to recognize the wonderful front desk staff, who were consistently warm, welcoming, and eager to help. The breakfast and restaurant teams provided excellent service throughout our stay, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job keeping everything comfortable and immaculate. One of the staff members described the hotel's atmosphere as feeling like "visiting a rich uncle's house," and I thought that was the perfect description. The property is elegant and refined, yet it remains warm, inviting, and comfortable rather than formal or intimidating. Travel doesn't always go perfectly, and even the best hotels can encounter occasional challenges. What matters most is how those challenges are handled. The team at Kimpton BEM Budapest demonstrated that service recovery can be just as important as service itself. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to guest satisfaction shone through every step of the way. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay such a positive one. We left with fond memories of Budapest and a deep appreciation for the people who made us feel so welcome.
Kristof at the front desk had great service, helping me retrieve my wall adapter I had left in the room after checking out hours earlier. The lobby is impressive. The staff are honest, friendly and well aware of the Chase Edit hotel program, giving me an upgrade without asking. The facilities were very nice. Dining in the restaurant, the staff were also great from conversations we had to alerting us of when the breakfast hours were ending so we weren't surprised. I think the service is what stands out to me at this hotel although everything was great about this stay.
I’ve had such a wonderful experience at Kimpton Bem Budapest. From check-in right through to a drink in the wine bar and time spent unwinding in the spa (the pool and sauna are just beautiful), every part of our stay felt seamless and genuinely delightful. The setting is stunning and quintessentially decorated in that beautiful Hungarian style, the atmosphere relaxed and also refined - everything is thoughtfully done. A special mention to our server, Shada, who truly made our dining experience exceptional. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional, he struck that perfect balance of being present without ever being intrusive. His service elevated the whole evening. Highly recommend if you’re in Budapest and looking for a memorable experience.
Hold on tight – this is going to be a detailed review, because this place deserves it! Well, we got here by a recommendation of one of my friends From the moment we arrived, we could tell it was stylish and well-kept place– but we didn’t realize just how much! We started by sitting at the wine bar – everything was delicious, super clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. If you might be on the other side of Budapest t’s far away from you do not hesitate, it’s absolutely worth it.! Upon our arrival we chilled with great music at the bar and later went to the restaurant – which was simply perfect! The food was top quality, every dish made us want to order more and more, and the staff were so kind, patient, and attentive. The whole place is beautifully maintained at every detail a very high standard – it’s unbeatable. I honestly hope this Restaurant keeps thriving, because it was pure magic. Totally worth coming even from far away – highly, highly recommended!
