Because of the vast number of terrible reviews, I felt compelled to give an update as of April 2026. This was my first time visiting this bar. A group of friends stopped in shortly after opening time on a Tuesday night. A somewhat terse fellow met us in the main street-level room, asked us in English if it was our first time, and requested that we read the rules. He took out coats and bags and hung them on a rack, and handed us our paper slips for our bar tabs. We went downstairs to the very atmospheric bar, and the friendly, sexy bartender greeted us and spoke great English. There were only a few guys there at that time, so the vibe was a little "nervous" rather than chatty and friendly. We weren't there for the reasons most people go, we just wanted to have some drinks at a gay bar, and we enjoyed underground, old-world feel of the place. When it was time to leave, the bartender took our papers, calculated everything correctly, charged our card, and we left. No one was rude or tried to rip us off, we had no trouble communicating with any of the employees, and we enjoyed ourselves. I think the terrible reviews are from before they re-opened, or from insanely busy nights when overworked employees are trying to keep up with the masses. We would totally go back!
We went last night to CoXx with very low expectations due to the bad reviews but the place was very nice and so were the bartenders and staff in general. It was full of younger guys and there was a really good energy. Also a very clean cruising area.
It is a very interesting set up. Most of the bar is downstairs and the upstairs is like a cafe/lounge. There's darkroom and cigarette room and more lounge space and a bar downstairs. Friday and Saturday are the best days to go. On a Sunday there was only a few people in the downstairs area. Lots of shy skittish men with darting glances but no one saying anything. One guy wrote me on the hookapp only after I left which makes no sense. The bar tab system can be confusing but it is all written in English. You have to pay attention and read it or ask questions if you don't understand.
On a thrusday night Arrived 10:00, few people, the barman was friendly. Since many people complained abt errors on their drinking bills, I was careful to see how many were writen, and I can say that they were honest and I did NOT experience any trouble with my bill. This is a good place. I def would go back... I was amazed how good smelling people were here, when one lives in Copenhagen and is used to non deodorant smelly danes this is a good surprise 👍 Had good fun Easy going crowd Sunday it seems like a weak day, they should do a promotion day or make it some special party day. The sunday barman is very good, he plays music accordingly to customers, he is a keeper...
