Stopped on chance when passing but no regrets. We had one beef and one chicken burger, sweet potato fries and normal fries and 2 beers. About £17 each. Burgers were excellent, I’ve paid more for a lot worse. Big drink choice too.
"Stég Pub" is one of those spots that survives purely on vibe, space, and the fact that nobody expects perfection there. There’s a lot of room, which already puts it ahead of half the cramped places in Budapest where your elbow becomes part of a stranger’s dinner. The outdoor seating is relaxed, slightly chaotic, but in a way that works when the weather is good and nobody’s in a rush👌 Drinks are fine. Nothing to write poetry about, but also nothing offensive. You order, you get what you expect, life continues👌 The food is where reality gently taps you on the shoulder. The lángos looks promising, but ends up being pretty plain - not bad, just lacking that greasy, glorious punch you secretly hoped for. More "this exists" than "this was a life choice worth remembering" So in the end: great atmosphere, absurd amount of blue bikes, plenty of space, decent drinks, and food that doesn’t quite rise to the occasion👍
Had the Captain Burger and was very pleased with it. Only letdown was the lack of tissues given but that is a minor remark. If I were to eat on Margaret island, I would easily opt for this pub again.
