This is such a lovely hotel! Although it is older and a bit dated, the staff, amenities and spa make it a top choice! The breakfast buffet is incredible! A real standout is the staff at the River Restaurant, especially Daniel and Vanessa! Their friendly professional service and genuine hospitality was so appreciated after long, hot days of touring Budapest. Highly recommend this hotel and don't miss out on the River Restaurant!
All right hotel for a shorter stay in Budapest. In terms of value it could be good if you’re enrolled in the GHA Discovery programme and actively stay at participating hotels, otherwise I wouldn’t really say it’s worth it to just book a stay here through other booking sites. Both the hotel itself and rooms were really dated. In terms of service it wasn’t really anything special. The receptionists working were nice but both check-in and check-out took quite a long time compared to other hotels. In terms of GHA status perks I received a welcome amenity in the form of a bottle of Hungaria sparkling wine and a bag of mixed nuts and dry fruit for my titanium status. The hotel is also located around 30-40 minutes from central Budapest which you definitely should consider when booking. In terms of close sights there was a synagogue located right next to my hotel which could be seen from my room which kind of made up for the bad location otherwise. Another great thing about the hotel is that it’s calm and quiet thanks to its location. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Is it worth checking out if you can find a good deal on it? Yes, if you can’t find anything better.
Whole hotel was spotlessly clean . The spa was very good, old style sauna you could add water to. Had proper stones not like the modern UK type with an electric element. Staff were great couldn't complain apart from the wake up call, it arrived two days early. I told the receptionist who apologised and re booked it but it didn't arrive at all. Over all very good, I would stay again.
I recently arrived at the hotel and am very impressed, despite the rooms being a little dated and the location a bit further out of the centre of town - the facilities were great. Very nice spa and pool area, good food and drinks at the bar at reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Daniel P was an exceptional waiter while me and my friend were staying at the hotel. He was very attentive and engaging and shared lots of tips about what to do and try in Hungary. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you!
This morning, my guest suddenly fell ill. Thanks to the front desk staff, we received excellent care. They called an ambulance for us, making the right decision and ensuring our trip wasn't disrupted. We are extremely grateful. We hope the hotel will commend the staff member who worked between 4 and 6 AM on July 5th, as this staff member had already finished their shift when we left. We are so thankful to them! A truly fantastic hotel with excellent service.
