Reviews
The rooms are comfortable, however a bit warm if you choose the ones with roof windows. Though at the top floor and away from the street noise, it is impossible to avoid waking up from the wailing sirens or occasional motorcycles passing in the middle of the night. That is common in Budapest, so your best bet is to be as far from the street noise as possible. A rooftop room almost solved that. The apartment block feels a bit sketchy at the entrance but the rooms are quite safe, since the main door is secured. You need to be in good shape to handle the stairs to the 4th floor, due to the pre-war elevator which we didn’t dare to use.
Whilst very centrally located, the entrance is fairly discrete and easily missed with only a small sign on the door (which is access controlled with a code to enter). The reception isn't 24/7 but they provide details on how to obtain the key from a lockbox if your arrival time is going to be when the reception is closed. Breakfast vouchers can be purchased for the equivalent of €9 for redemption against a variety of set menu options at a cafe nearby (after 9am).
