We had a pleasant stay at the Continental Hotel Budapest overall. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely architectural details, and the location is excellent, close to restaurants, bars, and the city's vibrant atmosphere while still being convenient for sightseeing. The rooftop swimming pool was fantastic, and the sauna facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our biggest disappointment was the cigarette smoke that entered our room every night. Someone in a nearby room was clearly smoking, and the smell came into our room, making it unpleasant to sleep. We reported it to the staff, who apologized and asked us to send an email to the hotel after our stay. While they were kind and understanding, there was unfortunately no solution available during our stay. Given the inconvenience, I thought it would have been a nice gesture to waive the minibar charges for the few items we used, but we were still asked to pay for them. Breakfast was good, but another frustrating issue was that staff started clearing away food well before the advertised end of breakfast service. We were traveling with teenagers, who tended to come down toward the end of breakfast hours. By then, many of the breakfast items had already been removed, leaving them with very limited choices. Since we had paid for breakfast for our entire stay, it was disappointing that they were unable to enjoy it on most mornings. Overall, this is a lovely hotel with beautiful architecture, an excellent location, great wellness facilities, and helpful staff. If the hotel could better address cigarette smoke between rooms and ensure breakfast remains fully available until the advertised closing time, it would be an outstanding place to stay.
An awesome stay from start to finish. The hotel is gorgeous. We had 2 X twin rooms as we're old friends travelling together. The rooms are very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff are lovely, check-in was so easy and our rooms were ready earlier than we expected. Our many questions to reception staff over our stay were always answered clearly and with much patience!! We swam in the pools, again immaculately clean. The hotel has a super-calm atmosphere. Breakfast, although busy, is very well organised with a large choice available each day. We would highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.
The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The building itself, its rich history, the stunning architecture, and the beautiful surroundings are truly impressive. From the very first moment you enter, you can feel the elegance and luxury of this place. The grand entrance, the magnificent door, and the red carpet create a truly unforgettable first impression. We were absolutely delighted with our stay. After an intense and exciting World Bodybuilding Championship in Budapest, we spent two wonderful days here, relaxing and recharging in a beautiful atmosphere. I also shared many posts on my social media featuring the hotel because it is such a special place. A special thank you to the hotel team and the manager for kindly upgrading our room upon our request. It meant a lot to me, and we truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Thank you once again for your warm hospitality. We will definitely come back and highly recommend your wonderful hotel to everyone visiting Budapest.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed. The highlight was definitely the rooftop swimming pool, which offered amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast had a good selection, and everything was well maintained throughout the hotel. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.I would happily return.
This hotel is stunning and an ideal location for all sightseeing and ruins bars and restaurants. Public transport is within walking distance. The room was beautiful and serviced everyday, the bed was huge bigger than a Super King. We had breakfast included and was happy with the variety. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are perfect after a days sightseeing. The hotel itself has incredible history. Beautiful, would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
