Reviews
Nice simple hotel, it has a amazing staff and they were very helpful for the parking and the late checkout (Even being so kind to handling a travel breakfast)
This is a budget hotel and price is much cheaper than any other hotel in Budapest. That being said, I had a great experience. Breakfast was amazing, food was very tasty. Honestly better food than in most more expensive hotels. Rooms extremely clean, fresh towels every day. Rooms do look old/dated. But I didn't have an issue with that since everything was clean and well kept. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Wifi was very fast. Location is good and they have parking. For the price you pay, you can't beat this place. Great experience, would come here again.
The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, there are many areas that are downright dirty. The sanitary ware is broken or does not work properly, the sockets are sticking out of the wall. The towels are no longer white, they are gray, the linen is stained.
Pros: The bed was pretty comfortable, the distance from Keleti train station was close, hotel staff was kind and friendly. The key to the safe was available at the reception after paying deposit (this was returned back at checkout). Cons: The whole time the Wi-Fi was not working, I wasn't able to pay by card, I needed to withdraw cash from the ATM (the best would be to take some cash with you, as ATMs nearby have fees), the window was facing inward (to the restaurant side), we didn't have fresh air whatsoever, couldn't sleep well, we heard other people walking, talking, opening doors, etc. The shower was too small, the toiletries were only one little circular soap and single-use shampoo, the toilet had a lot of cracks on it, we had only one nightstand even though we were 2 people sleeping there. We had filthy cups so we needed to clean them up, we didn't receive any tea or coffee, we went shopping for it in the nearby Tesco (less than 5mins away). As we had window open during the night, we smelled frying oil in the morning (probably since 5 or 6AM). The breakfast wasn't too good, there weren't a lot of options to eat.
